Where we are now

After every significant event lately, I kept thinking "this would be a good time to start blogging again."

We moved--no blog.

 I got pregnant--no blog.

 Had a baby--no blog.

Moved again--no blog.

Well, now that baby is four and a half months old. We've been in our current house for three months. Finally, a blog post appears.

Just a little update on where we are in our lives right now.

Peter just started his first semester of his RN year of nursing school. He is working as an LPN at an assisted living home, going to school, and occasionally working at my parent's car wash as well (he is such a hard worker)! We have a hundred different paths ahead of us for school right now, one in particular that I have my fingers crossed for, but I won't put anything in writing until it's actually final. I tend to get really excited and impulsive about ideas before they actually happen, so I'll zip my lips for now and say what will happen for certain:
Peter will graduate in May, take the NCLEX and hopefully pass on the first try! He will work for a while and get his bachelor's degree online. He'll work for a little while longer (at some point he will need a few years in an ER or ICU) and then he will go to grad school for anesthesia.

Henry is four and a half months old, and loving life right now! He is so strong and sweet and funny and cute. He loves to stand up, loves to be tossed around, and loves to be upside down. I think he is going to grow up to be an adrenaline junkie, and I forsee many ER trips in our future (especially considering who his father is!). He sleeps really well, 10-12 hours a night, and naps through most of the day. Despite my best efforts to make him a flexible baby, he has a hard time sleeping anywhere other than his crib. He is so curious and observant and loves to look around at new people and places. Because of this, he tends to get overstimulated when there is a lot going on around him. But he is so sweet, and we will continue to keep trying to get him used to new situations! He really loves to be outside playing on a blanket, or going for walks in his stroller with mom and dad. He has a huge mouth that he uses to laugh all the time, and a sweet little dimple in each cheek that mommy loves to kiss!

I've been blessed to be able to stay at home with my sweet Henry boy. Being a stay-at-home mom has its ups and downs, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. When Henry was a month old, we moved from an apartment into a small house! It has three rooms, a huge yard, and a garden! I have loved having my first garden, and it has been heavenly to be in our own home and not have to worry about neighbors! Or landlord lives on one side of us, and a couple from our ward is on the other. It's been great to trade vegetables from the garden and chit chat over the fence on warm summer nights. I love to crochet in my free time, and have been trying my hand at calligraphy lately. I am so obsessed with calligraphy! Or lettering, as those of us in the business call it (wink wink).

That's us in a nutshell right now!

Stay tuned for more updates on our little team!

Hailee
